MURI Record for Rejang Sandat Ratu Segara Dance
Tanah Lot and Tabanan Regency again held Tanah Lot Art & Food Festival # 2 on 18-20 August 2018. Tanah Lot Art & Food Festival this year was enlivened with a record-breaking Indonesian World Record Museum (MURI) and World Record for colossal dance performance category.
Eka Regent presented 1800 dancers Rejang Sandat Ratu Segara. The dance was performed by teenagers at 18.00 WITA on Tanah Lot Beach, Bali.
The Regent of Tabanan Bali, Ni Putu Eka Wiryastuti expressed his gratitude for the collaboration of the colossal dance. "The most interesting part of this year's Tanah Lot Art & Festival is the appearance of 1800 dancers Rejang Sandat Ratu Segara. This record-breaking is not owned by the government but belongs to the entire Tabanan community, "he said through the press release.
As many as 1800 thousand dancers poured over the beaches of Tanah Lot, Bali. Crowd is not only seen from the line of dancers, but also on the side of the road which is crowded with local and international tourists.
The appearance of Queen Segara's Rejang Sandat lasted for 11 minutes, and ended with the handover of the MURI Charter, on the Record of the Participants of the Rejang Sandat Dance Queen of the Most Segara in Indonesia and the world.
Eka Regent is committed to continue to innovate in developing Tabanan tourism. "This record-breaking is the result of creative ideas from me and the stakeholders. "The goal is to introduce Tanah Lot as an international class tourist destination," he said.
Last year's Tanah Lot Art & Food Festival was visited by 45 thousand tourists in just three days. This year, Tabanan targets to have 50,000 tourists for the next three days.
"At 18.00 WITA (yesterday) the committee had recorded 10 thousand visitors, hopefully the night would be more crowded with tourists," he explained.
