Tanah Lot After Re-opened at July 20, 2020
After almost four months of not receiving tourist visits, finally on Monday, July 20, 2020, Tanah Lot are reopened. Of course, the decision to reopen the tourist area which is famous for its natural beauty, temples, and sunsets has undergone a long verification process and has received a certificate of New Norma which was immediately submitted by the Regent of Tabanan together with the opening of 5 tourist attraction in Tabanan Regency, Monday, July 20, 2020 a few days ago.
Phase I verification was carried out on Friday (June 12, 2020) by the Covid Task Force of Tabanan Regency headed directly by the Regional Secretary of Tabanan Regency: Dr. I Gede Susila, S.Sos, M.Si and accompanied by the Head of Tourism Department of Tabanan Regency: I Gede Sukanada, AP, SH. Then level II verification is performed on Sunday (July 12, 2020) by the same party. The verification activities in these two stages are implemented with the aim of further convincing the readiness of Tanah Lot in implementing the New Normal protocol.
Tanah Lot Operations Manager: I Ketut Toya Adnyana, SP said that he and all management groups strongly support the implementation of the verification to better convince all parties including tourists that Tanah Lot is safe to visit and ready with the New Normal protocol with its certification. "We are very enthusiastic with this verification stage to further convince tourists, especially that Tanah Lot is worth visiting and do not have to worry because it has implemented the protocol. And we have worked hard to meet the requirements in accordance with the New Normal protocol set by the Government. The proof is that last Monday we got a certificate. So that will be the basis of the trust of tourists to be sure to visit Tanah Lot ", he said when met at his office.
For almost eleven days since it opened on July 20, 2020, it seems that the visit is dominated by domestic tourists, although there are still some foreign tourists. From the data obtained from the number of visits from 20 to July 30, 2020, there are 2,655 domestic tourists and 206 foreign tourists. With the opening of the domestic market as of July 31, 2020, expected to boost domestic visits to Tanah Lot. "Our visit has not been as normal as it used to be before the pandemic hit almost the whole world. Because this is the beginning, especially since July 31, the domestic market has just opened, hopefully it can boost domestic visits to Tanah Lot. And we also hope that in the future foreign markets can be opened because China has been dominating visits at Tanah Lot. And hopefully the visit can be normal as before of course by still adhering to and disciplining the implementation of existing health protocols ", he concluded.
